Pavilion P3 within the residential neighborhood of Veliko Polje
Novi Zagreb, Veliko Polje
Area: 775 m²
project: 2023.

The existing building plot is irregular in shape and contains a ground-floor utility structure in a shell-and-core state. The site features pedestrian pathways and landscaped green areas. The architectural concept proposes the addition of a glazed winter garden on the northern side, a canopy on the southern side of the existing structure, the construction of another pavilion of similar dimensions with a basement southwest of the current building, and the addition of the first and second floors above the ground-floor pavilions. The basement will include tenant storage areas and part of a commercial space (a pastry shop). The ground floor will house two separate commercial units (a children’s playroom and a pastry shop), while the upper floors are residential, with two apartments on the first floor and one on the second. The building will have a flat, non-accessible, extensively greened roof. The curved residential volume on the first and second floors will be built using lightweight CLT (cross-laminated timber) wall and ceiling panels.
